These pages present the recent work of Joseph Plaskett, a Canadian-born artist who has lived in Paris for more than forty years.
This extraordinary body of work done between 1988 and the present consists of large scale works executed in the chalk pastel medium. In order to achieve the large scale, the artist has used several sheets of coloured pastel paper juxtaposed to recreate an image.
For several years, Plaskett has concentrated on specific subject matter, mostly the interiors where he lives.
